CIRCULAR PRODUCTS

Circular Economy and Circular Products

The circular economy is a system where materials never become waste and nature is regenerated. In a circular economy, products and materials are kept in circulation through processes like maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacture, recycling, and composting.

The circular economy tackles climate change and other global challenges, like biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution, by decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources.

The circular economy is based on three principles, driven by design:

  • Eliminate waste and pollution
  • Circulate products and materials (at their highest value)
  • Regenerate nature

The Circular economy is underpinned by a transition to renewable energy and materials, the circular economy is a resilient system that is good for business, people, and the environment.

The concept and systems associated with a Circular economy are being ingrained into Stratex business systems and practice.

Sustainable Overview - Our Approach

Sustainability is a major consideration in Stratex business decisions. From our world view to our strategy, sustainability has become a key determinant in daily decisions and our future success.

At Stratex, we recognise that our business activities have a direct impact on various stakeholders and the wider community. As a result, we understand that we must be proactive in identifying areas of improvement that we have direct control over, whilst positively influencing areas where we have limited control.

At Stratex, we seek to ensure all employees, suppliers and customers understand the role we all play in ensuring sustainable practices are incorporated into everyday activities and decision making. This is achieved by having goals, setting targets, reviewing progress against those targets and ensuring all stakeholders understand and agree with our pathway.

Climate Action

Energy Strategy

At the heart of our commitment to sustainability is an Energy Strategy that guides our actions towards a greener tomorrow. We invest in cutting-edge technologies and prioritize renewable energy sources to power our operations. By constantly evaluating and enhancing our energy efficiency, we aim to minimize our carbon footprint and lead the way in responsible manufacturing.

Our Energy Strategy is not just a corporate initiative; it's a fundamental part of our mission to contribute positively to the environment. We believe that through smart energy choices, we can play a vital role in addressing climate change and creating a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Measurement and Performance

At Stratex, transparency and accountability are crucial aspects of our sustainability efforts. We understand that to make a meaningful impact, we need to measure and improve our performance continually.

Our commitment to Climate Action includes rigorous Measurement and Performance assessments. We regularly track key indicators related to energy consumption, waste reduction, and carbon emissions. This data allows us to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted strategies to enhance our sustainability practices. By openly sharing our performance metrics, we aim to foster trust and demonstrate our dedication to making a positive environmental impact.

Social Sustainability

Engaged Employees and Human Rights

Stratex places a strong emphasis on fostering a workplace culture that values its employees and upholds fundamental human rights. We believe that engaged and satisfied employees are the cornerstone of a successful and sustainable business. Our commitment extends to providing fair wages, promoting a healthy work-life balance, and ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment. We actively engage with our employees, seeking their input and feedback to continuously improve our practices.

By prioritizing the well-being and rights of our workforce, we aim to create a positive impact within our company and contribute to the broader goal of social sustainability.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Stratex is dedicated to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in every aspect of our organization. We recognize that a diverse and inclusive workplace not only fosters innovation but also contributes to a more equitable society. Our commitment to DEI goes beyond rhetoric – we actively seek diverse perspectives and talents, ensuring equal opportunities for all. Stratex promotes a culture where every employee feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or identity.

By embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion, we believe we can build a stronger, more resilient team that reflects the richness of the communities we serve.

Occupational Health and Safety

At Stratex, the health and safety of our employees are paramount. We are committed to maintaining high standards of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) across all our operations. Our comprehensive OH&S policies and practices are designed to create a safe and secure workplace, preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of our employees.

We provide ongoing training and resources to promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility. Stratex believes that investing in occupational health and safety not only protects our employees but also contributes to the overall social sustainability of our business. Through these measures, we strive to create a work environment where employees can thrive without compromising their well-being.

Ethical Standards

Ethics and Compliances

Stratex is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business operations. Our Ethics and Compliance framework serves as a guiding light, ensuring that every decision and action aligns with principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability. We adhere strictly to all applicable laws and regulations, both locally and internationally. Through ongoing training and awareness programs, we empower our employees to make ethical choices in their daily work. Our commitment to ethical business practices extends beyond mere compliance; it is a reflection of our dedication to building trust with our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate.

Responsible Sourcing

Stratex recognizes the critical role of responsible sourcing in achieving sustainability goals. We are committed to sourcing materials ethically, and prioritizing suppliers who share our values of environmental responsibility, social accountability, and ethical business practices. Our Responsible Sourcing initiative involves thorough assessments of suppliers' practices, ensuring that they meet our stringent standards for fair labor, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.

By partnering with suppliers who prioritize sustainability and ethical considerations, we aim to create a responsible and resilient supply chain. Through these efforts, Stratex strives not only to deliver high-quality food packaging but also to positively impact the global supply chain by promoting ethical sourcing practices.

Living Wage

The minimum wage is the minimum amount that an employee must be paid by the governing law of the country they work in. The living wage is the amount that people should be paid to live with dignity. In any given country the living wage is usually above the minimum legal wage. Stratex is an advocate of the living wage and seeks to ensure all employees are paid the living wage as a bare minimum, especially if the legal minimum wage is less.

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do

At Stratex, we are committed to using sustainable practices in every aspect of our operations.
