Stratex has announced it has commissioned a new adhesive laminator at its Auckland site in New Zealand. The new investment complements the recently commissioned 10 colour press, realising the Auckland site as an industry power house.
In a formal press release today, Managing Director, Brent Devlin announced that Stratex has completed the first stage of its strategic step-up program with the commissioning of a new high speed solvent-less laminator. Devlin highlighted that “driven by recent factory closures and industry consolidation Stratex has taken a proactive approach to market opportunities”. The addition of the adhesive laminator makes the Stratex business a significant player in the Australian and New Zealand flexible packaging market. Historically known for extrusion lamination in New Zealand and Australia, and offering print in Australia, the addition of the recently commissioned 10 colour press and adhesive laminator in Auckland is significant for the industry. Devlin claims Stratex is the only independently owned company left in the region with sites in both Australia and New Zealand that are focused on meeting FMCG flexible packaging demands.
